Description
HP is investing with the fast growing economics in China. Compliance in China regulatory environment is the key to success for business sustaining and growth. Our continuous efforts are to manage product compliance in a business complex to serve hp safe and legal policy as well as business needs. Responsible for managing product compliance programs in China from certification process to business operation such as public sector business, manufacturing, and importation. Mission to assure that HP delivers safe & legal products to business need with efficiency and effectiveness in product regulations. The person must have strong technical knowledge in products and certifications, able to build relationship with authorities, and provide clear requirements/criteria to hp business and functional teams to ensure pro-activeness. Strong program management skills are expected. The position will be located in China Beijing and will work closely with HP general business units, government affairs, environmental management, legal and country business teams as well as China regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
• Ensure product conforms to China regulations with safe & legal compliance.
• Deliver fast, accurate, and on-time China certification approvals with cost efficiency.
• Track and manage all EMC, Safety and telecom requirement/activity for multiple projects - ensure that new product introduction timeline are on schedule with certification approvals.
• Interface with both HP internal groups (product generation organizations and country business team) as well as authorities/agencies.
• Engage with China authorities to get the 1st hand regulations and requirements with clear interpretation to hp product compliance.
• Provide unambiguous regulatory requirements with implementation suggestion to hp business, R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Work closely with HP compliance group to follow up/manage the agency regulation dynamics (such as regulations, requirements, lead-time and cost changes, as well as regional specific issues.). Review/track on agency costs.
• Participate & provide feedback to government authorities with influence on product regulations practice with hp’s best interests.
• Lead HP-China technical compliance activities.
• Support and oversight to compliance process to the execution by the ODM/CM and test labs per authorities and HP's requirements.
• Support/present agency certifications to facilitate HP business needs
