The Role
Wood Mackenzie seeks experienced professionals and graduates to provide consultation and related services on iron ore and steel cost. You will provide our clients with consultation and related services on in-depth commercial information relating to assets and companies. You’ll deliver expert views on the iron ore and steel costs sector to provide our clients with the commercial insight they need. This role offers an excellent opportunity to interact with many different functions across Wood Mackenzie, fostering a deep understanding of the global metals, mining and energy industries.
Responsibilities
The Iron Ore and Steel Cost Consultant will be required to perform job responsibilities as directed by his or her direct supervisor or other more senior staff members in a manner that meet their standards and expectations. The main job responsibilities include the following.
Consulting regarding cost information on iron ore mines, steel making assets and companies. Benchmarking cost information as part of providing consultation services.
Consulting regarding topical issues relevant to iron ore and steel costs and author insight reports relating to iron ore and steel costs as part of providing consultation services.
Develop relationships with useful contacts and clients within the industry.
Participate in industry events to network with contacts and clients where appropriate.
A high level of industry and client interaction.
Contribute to the development and sales of consultation services and related products.
Making a real and valid contribution to the wider metals & mining team with your ideas.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to excellence.
Provide sector expertise into consulting assignments.
Quality of information provided as part of consultation and related services and timeliness.
Teamwork.
Knowledge and experience
The Iron Ore and Steel Cost Consultant will be required to possess knowledge, skills and experiences that meet the standards and expectations of his or her direct supervisor or other more senior staff members. These knowledge, skills and experiences include the following.
Experienced professionals will posses a strong knowledge of the iron ore and steel cost sector, gained from experience in industry or through another consultancy. Graduates will posses a good degree in a relevant discipline.
