RF Engineer
Job Description
The Wireless Technologies team is looking for a highly motivated RF Software Engineer to develop the transceiver SW for our next generation iPhone/iPad products. The successful candidate will need in-depth knowledge in wireless communications, excellent software fundamentals, strong communication skills, and a desire to work with an amazing team to innovate and develop ground-breaking products. Ability to drive initiatives, track issues and prioritize on a daily basis is a requirement. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Bring up iPhone/iPad modem transceiver system in close collaboration across BB/RF HW/SW teams.
2. Optimize the algorithm of RF transceiver driver to enhance the field performance and factory yield.
3. Drive and debug critical RF driver issues under a cross-functional working environment.
4. Interface with vendors and manufactures’ R&D teams on daily basis, and deliver RF driver features and fixes on time under aggressive schedule.
Qualifications:
1. More than 5 years working experience in mobile phone/chipset development.
2. In-depth knowledge of mobile communications and RF transceiver.
3. Experience in wireless systems, e.g., GSM, WCDMA or cdma, is highly desired.
4. Collaborate with internal/international teams about issue and solutions
5. Strong C programming skills
6. Able to use RF lab equipment (CMU-200, Agilent 8960, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, etc.)
7. Able to work under tight schedule and deliver on time.
8. Great verbal and written communication skills.
Education requirement:
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
