Title:Database Administrator
Database Team is currently looking for a talented Oracle database administrator with 5+ years experience for its Beijing office. This DBA will deliver in operation and engineering excellence for our China and International retails databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for distributed database environments on a UNIX/Linux platform. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. Successful candidates will have strong leadership skills, technical project management skills, and the ability to maintain high availability Oracle databases.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain development and production of high availability database environments
· Database & application( SQL & PL/SQL ) performance tuning
· Database backup and recovery
· Root cause analysis of production-related Linux and database issues
· Perform 24/7 production databases support.
· Knowledge of Oracle internals
· Excellence in troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Review, design and develop data models in conjunction with the application development teams
· Design, develop, and implement Oracle database instances for the development and production environments
Basic Qualifications
· 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience on Unix/Linux
· Experience with Oracle 11g and data guard
· Working knowledge of Oracle DBA best practices (e.g., schema management, index optimization, and use of hints) Query and database performance tuning skills
· Experience in a 24/7 production environment
· Capacity to automate monitoring and management
· UNIX shell scripting, PLSQL, and SQL skills
· UNIX/Linux and database troubleshooting and resolution skills
· Excellent bilingual written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills;
Preferred Qualifications
· Database project management skills
· Understanding & experience of Linux operating systems and kernels
· Experience in a consultant role, assisting and mentoring junior DBA staff
· Strong working knowledge of Oracle DBA best practices (e.g., schema management, index optimization, and use of hints)
· Strong query and database tuning skills
· Extensive UNIX shell scripting, PLSQL, and SQL skills.
· High motivation to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
· Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
