Title: Software Development Engineer - Backend team
Overview
Our company China Technology team is looking for talented Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) that want to impact how software is used to improve retail customer experience on our company.cn. As an SDE II in our company BDC, you will work closely with SDET and PM to create new and innovative experiences for our retail Web site and back-end services.
We seek a passionate developer that has a drive to develop solutions that are used by millions of users in China. You understand the quality we need to put into our designs and implementation to sustain such a large user base and translate requirements into code that will delight and amaze our users.
Basic Qualification
BS or MS degree in Computer Science and/or 5+ years as a SDE.
Deep experience building software applications in Java, Perl, and/or C++, preferably in a UNIX/Linux environment.
Solid RDBMS experience (preferably Oracle, MySQL)
Exemplary analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Familiarity with technologies such as Javascript, PHP, XML, XSLT, XBRL, SOAP, HTTP, and other web services technologies
Experience with agile development methodologies
Thorough understanding of Service oriented architectures and operational data stores
· Experience of search-related development is preferred.
· Experience of cloud-computing development is preferred.
