Datacenter Technician
Job Description
In the hiring of a Data Center Technician, our company is seeking a self-motivated, team player who is excited by the challenge of a fast pace, ever changing working environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong communications skills, a willingness to learn/expand base skill sets and phenomenal attention to detail. This is an entry level position with unlimited growth potential.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates should be explain in depth how the following works, knowing a min of 70 percent of the following topics
* Linux Administration:
o Boot Process
o GRUB/LILO
o File Systems
o Network device and protocol configuration
o Directory Structure
o Base Operating System Install
o TCP/IP
* Server Hardware:
o RAID
o Fault Isolation
* Services:
o SSH
o TELNET
o FTP
o NFS
o DNS
o DHCP
* Networking
o OSI Model
o Subnetting
o TCP/IP
*Good level of written and spoken English is required
Preferred Qualifications:
? 3-6 years working background in IT related company
? RHCA/RHCE certification preferred
? An ideal candidate knows how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own, but also knows how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
? Primary Job function included but not limited to the following
? manage all aspect of a Mission critical spare parts pool for server and network equipment
? Effectively repair none critical servers
? Server and networking equipment installation and removal
? directed project work
