Overview
Our company CN Retail Customer Experience team in Beijing is looking for an independent, customer-focused, technically savvy, detail-oriented, experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team. In this exciting role, you will make significant contribution to accelerate the growth of our e-commerce business and make history with our company. We are looking for a globally oriented, locally savvy individual who is passionate about improving the customer experience across all our e-commerce websites.
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will drive cross-functional projects and focus on launching and integrating our company systems and website features all over the world. The TPM will work closely with both local and global business teams to define business requirements, lead the Beijing development team through full product lifecycles (product definition, delivery, and on-going management), and interact at all levels with our company groups in order to drive successful programs. The TPM will act as the owner of programs through all phases of product development. The TPM will also actively mentor team members and help them to grow and improve.
Responsibilities include:
? Own full product life-cycle - including product definition, delivery, and on-going management.
? Propose, initiate, and plan project initiatives.
? Plan and manage project deliverables, budget, and schedule.
? Understand market realities and company capabilities to define product strategy.
? Work with stakeholders - Retail, Operations, Design, and Technology teams, global and local - to create and deliver compelling products.
? Build on-going metrics to measure the success of programs and inform product direction.
? Control execution, schedule, and costs
? Manage project risks, create contingency plans
Core Qualifications:
? 1-3 years of experience designing and developing software applications
? 5+ years of combined software development and project/program management working experience
? Proven success in a fast-paced environment, independently seek opportunity, define problems, and solve them creatively with the right priority.
? Excellent communication and people skills: being able to communicate to diverse audiences with confidence, clarity and right focus. Build trustworthy and supportive working relationships.
? Language skills: fluent (written and spoken) in both Mandarin Chinese and English, able to write business documents, exchange email and host meetings in both languages.
? Previous experience with several project life-cycles on a single product from product definition to operational support is a plus.
? Previous success with championing product ideas and winning agreement across diverse stakeholders is highly desired.
