Role Summary/Purpose

The Interventional Image Quality engineer will work with a cross-functional program team to deliver value products for the global market. This position has design responsibility to deliver image chain design that enhances system performance, feature functionality, and product quality mainly from image quality perspective.


Essential Responsibilities

• Develop system level image quality performance metrics and specifications, allocate specifications across key image chain components, and perform performance tradeoff analysis. • Develop system physics models to enable performance tradeoff analysis and specification allocation. • Lead image quality integration of image chain components; perform physics and image quality technical risk retirement. • Developing design solutions and specification allocations to image chain components, image reconstruction and calibration. • Developing analysis methods and models to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality. • Delivering and incorporating customer feedback results into new hardware and/or algorithm designs. • Collaborate with clinical partners to evaluate new features and technologies. • Support requirements traceability, design process and system verification activities. • Provide support for manufacturing and the field"


Qualifications/Requirements

Quality Specific Goals:1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required4. Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possibleQualifications:1. Masters degree with 5 years Image Quality relevant work experience or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or closely related discipline. 2. Expertise in the physics of X-Ray Imaging or DSA system and experience in the development/analysis of image reconstruction, calibration and correction algorithms3. Experience modeling / simulating the performance of medical imaging systems and the use of analysis software tools such as MATLAB.4. Broad exposure to algorithm design for image processing and calibration and expertise in performance modeling, image quality evaluation for X-Ray or DSA products. 5. Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems6. Proven track record of innovation and publication in the scientific or industrial setting.7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English.8. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task9. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation10. Broad exposure to system performance, algorithm design and expertise in performance modeling, image quality evaluation'
