职位描述
Main responsibilities:
The Major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
? Storage analysis, storage allocation, capacity and performance planning of storage components.
? Configure and support SAN(EMC Clariion/VNX) and associated components including Fibre switch administration (Brocade, Cisco).
? Configure and support data backup(Symantec NBU) and disaster recovery.
? Configure host storage component installations for new/existing servers, such as HBA drivers, host agent, powerpath,vxdmp, MPIO etc.
? firmware and software upgrades for all storage devices if necessary.
? Recommend and implement configuration changes to optimize storage performance.
? Configure and administer Windows 2008 servers and related services.
? Administration of Vmware Farms (Vsphere 5 and Vcenter).
? Troubleshoot and fix issues related with storage ,windows servers and Vmware Farms.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Work on a rotate to ensure there is cover 7 days a week, from approximately 9am to 11pm daily.
2. Tracking and handling all issues on the whole system and ensuring incidents are resolved according to the Service Level Agreements held with third parties.
3. Keep up to date configuration document for data centre operations.
4. Undertake testing of fixes and minor changes on the test environment, before release to live environment.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Bachelor or above degree in a computer related subject.
2. at least 3 year’s related experience, and experience of large-system support and help desk operation.
3. High level of proficiency in SAN(EMC Clariion/VNX) and Symantec Netbackup and working knowledge of Windows servers and Vsphere.
4. It will be a plus to be familiar with EMC RecoverPoint.
5. Excellent understanding of support processes and issue resolution, with a good understanding of Service Level Agreements and how these operate with third parties.
6. A good standard of English is vital as this work will also include liaising with the company’s remote support team some of whom are based in the UK (note interviews will primarily be conducted in English).
7. Certifications which would be useful, but are not mandatory such as EMCSA, VCP ,MSCE etc.
