Job Description:

Basic Function: Responsible for the translation of MicroStrategy's Technology material (such as User Guides, Online Help, Readmes and release notes), and User Interface strings for MicroStrategy software products. Also responsible for the Trados translation memories, glossaries, some translation procedures and language coordination tasks.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
Translate and/or proofread English technical documentation and software interface strings into native Simplified Chinese
Double-heck accuracy of all aspects of translation deliveries to consistently provide high quality translations, and complete all work according to established procedures and standards
Communicate orally in English and Simplified Chinese at business level fluency
Communicate with the team and with other translators on the project to ensure English content, terminology, and style consistency
Coordinate terminology issues with in-country reviewers and other translators on the team
Perform basic desktop publishing tasks on translated products to finalize the product to be ready for publishing
Maintain existing translation memories, glossaries, and style guides

Job Requirements:

Native Simplified Chinese speaker
Excellent command of English
Excellent IT/technical writing skills in Simplified Chinese
5+ years IT/technical translation experience
College degree (technical, translation or English degree preferred)
Competence using SDL Trados for translation and the SDL suite for terminology management (Translation Memory and Glossary maintenance)
Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker a plus
Knowledge of Adobe Robohelp and graphics editing software a plus
Experience working in the software/business intelligence industry a plus
