职位描述
Main responsibilities:
The Major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
? Install, administer and harden Unix/Linux(Solaris/Redhat Linux) System.
? Configure and administer Apache service in chrooted environment.
? Configure and administer other infrastructure services running on Linux system such as FTP, SMTP, BIND, MySQL etc.
? Configure and administer clustering software.
? Make scripts/cronjobs to automate system administration task.
? Capacity and performance planning for Unix/Linux Servers.
? Performance analysis and recommend/ implement configuration changes to optimize Unix/Linux system performance.
? Install system patches/ upgrades for all Unix/Linux servers if necessary.
? Administration of Vmware Farms (Vsphere 5 and Vcenter).
? Troubleshoot and fix issues related with Unix/Linux servers and Vmware Farms.
Other responsibilities include:
1. Tracking and handling all issues on the whole system and ensuring incidents are resolved according to the Service Level Agreements held with third parties.
2. Keep up to date configuration document for data centre operations
3. Undertake testing of fixes and minor changes on the test environment, before release to live environment.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Bachelor or above degree in a computer related subject.
2. At least 3 year's related experience and experience of large-system support and help desk operation.
3. High level of proficiency in Redhat Linux and Solaris system,deep understanding of Apache server and working knowledge of Vsphere.
4. Familiar with Unix/Linux command lines, vim and experience with Bash/perl Scripting.
5. Capable of performance analyses, troubleshooting and optimization of Unix/Linux Server.
6. Excellent understanding of support processes and issue resolution, with a good understanding of Service Level Agreements and how these operate with third parties.
7. A good standard of English is vital as this work will also include liaising with the company's remote support team some of whom are based in the UK (note interviews will primarily be conducted in English).
8. Certifications which would be useful, but are not mandatory such as RHCE, RHCP etc.
