Responsibilities:

? Management of direct and indirect tax matters for China HQ
? Responsibilities include preparation of corporate income tax return, VAT filings/compliance, and withholding tax filings.
? Preparation of quarterly and annual direct income tax returns.
? Preparation of withholding tax filings and remittance of payment.
? Preparation of VAT return including collaboration with finance teams from other China manufacturing entities to monitor and efficiently handle the VAT refund applications.
? Provide strategic direction and identify potential opportunities both in terms of VAT savings and improvements of VAT cash flows.
? Management of corporate income tax and VAT audits and litigation, including evaluation of contingency reserves.
? Provide technical support in relation to general direct and indirect taxation, including custom implications.
? Management of the forecast of the VAT flows and monitoring of the flows between the legal entities.
? Maintenance of the VAT tables in various IT systems (instructions to be sent to IT dept.)
? Assist in the quarterly and annual tax accounting process as the reviewer of the tax provision.

Experience

? Minimum of [5 years] direct taxation and VAT experience in a large public accounting firm or publicly traded industrial company with international operations.
? Experience with developing indirect tax (VAT) risk management strategies.
? Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with senior tax and Company management on various tax technical matters.
