职位描述

Principal Duties:

The D P & C product portfolio is primarily sold, applied and manufactured globally. The essential responsibility of the D P & C Product Manager is to develop and lead teams of professionals to successfully maximize JCI's market share, spending, gross margin and EBIT. These duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:



- Coordinate with regions to identify product needs and develop and execute plans to meet these needs while meeting company goals for profitability and market share.

- Coordinate with suppliers to develop products to meet market needs by developing specifications, identifying the features needed and market unique selling points as well as the right tools to promote them.

- Coordinate Product Management team and corresponding functions including hardware and mechanical design, firmware, software and application development as well as to maintain conformance to quality systems and corporate processes. Provide technical support to the regions and develop tools to effectively promote our products

- Coordinate Planning, Budgeting, Program and Product launches with Director of Channels and Products as well as related areas.

- Responsible for product offer performance within the DP & C LOB

- Perform periodic meetings/conference calls with each of the regions in order to identify product needs/gaps, identify similarities and differences between regions to optimize product offer.

- Identify product requirements in terms of specifications, features, sizes, efficiencies, target costs as well as unique selling points

- Coordinate with Channel and Product management director as well as related areas to identify from our supplier base the right product

- Coordinate and follow up on the process to develop/adapt, new/existing product to meet our needs in time, specifications and cost.

- Manage product pipeline in order to maintain a competitive overall product offer.

- Prepares written market, customer, and business requirement specifications.

- Collaborate with Product Supply team and Product Delivery team to ensure suppliers product and delivery capability are in place

- Monitor sales performance and develop product demand forecasts. Identifies future sales potential and potential market share. Identifies competitor's position and strategies. Relays information for use in sales goals, factory planning, etc.

- Assists in the development of new products. Develops project assumptions which detail cost/benefit analysis and resource utilization. Coordinates the release of new products to maximize market impact. Plans the schedule and all steps in the release process. Ensures that field testing is completed.

- Develop the necessary literature, brochures, POS material, selection software and wed tools to effectively promote our product in to the market enhancing its differentiated features (unique selling points).

- Based on each region's goals, plan and budget the necessary resources in order to meet our plan making each of the Product Management specialists accountable of each of their product lines as well as to provide periodic feedback on their performance.

- Provide sales, technical and application support to the regions to appropriately promote the product.

- Implement the necessary actions in order to meet company's plan in profitability, volume and market share.




Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required. Business Management skills and effective in driving results in a matrix environment organization

- 7 years experience in the marketing of technical products is required including thorough knowledge of product applications.

- Previous industry related experience in HVAC industry is preferred and prior product management, program management, sales and/or marketing experience is highly desired.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. Travel is required 20% of the time.

- Good command of written and spoken English.
