Job title: Sourcing Project Manager
Department: Operations development

Key tasks:
Plan and run sourcing projects within Operations according to PROMAL, DMAIC and ODPC to customers satisfaction
Execute and revise as necessary the sourcing quality process, procedure and policies
Continue to develop suppliers towards a self-release capability.
Works to improve supplier quality, delivery, and service performance via systematic evaluation of the supplier’s quality systems and facilitation of process improvements
Responsible for understanding the customers’ quality expectations with respect to supplier development and identifying internal systems or projects to satisfy these expectations. Where internal systems do not exist, works to create systems which allow products to be formulated, manufactured and successfully applied by the customer free of quality defects. Interacts with Sourcing Director-Asia to review projects and to resolve open issues.
Deals with new as well as existing quality and statistical methodologies. The incumbent seeks innovative ways to bring these into the Corporation; this requires a high degree of analytical and creative thinking.
Implementation often takes place in a skeptical environment necessitating the use of persuasive techniques and a great deal of coaching and follow up. Each project involves different departments, products, plants, suppliers and customers. As a result, problem solving requires creative and non-routine thinking.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of science or equivalent experience
5 years of relevant experience from production/manufacturing company
Experience with components such as machining and casting
Excellent project management skills able to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of lean production or 6 sigma
Fluent in English and Mandarin – both written and oral.
