Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Department: Quality & Engineering Department

Responsible to: Quality Manager & General Manager

The Company: China Outsourcing Ltd is a rapidly expanding business sourcing and supplying precision cast, forged, machined and fabricated metal components and sub-assemblies from China for Western Companies. Over the last 11 years we have served blue chip companies operating in industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Marine and Automotive.

Job Purpose:

Located in Ningbo the QC inspector has the responsibility of ensuring the components supplied meet the drawing and technical requirements of our customers, and developing Quality processes to ensuring all aspects of quality is maintained. In addition, he or she provides support to the Quality Manager in making sure that quality risks are correctly assessed, identified and managed for all project management procedures that require high quality project delivery and execution. Supplying FAIR, project documentation, reviewing material certificates etc.

Job Facts and Requirements:

You would normally work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm
Much of your work will be on site in Ningbo. You will do some travelling to meet suppliers & clients.

Principal Duties & Accountabilities:

? Read and understand blueprints/drawings and specifications
? Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet production standards
? Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
? Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers etc
? Accept or reject finished items
? Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
? Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
? Report inspection and test data



Direction Received:

Basic policy decision determined your quarterly performance review. This is for general ongoing monitoring purposes; for the most part the job holder is perfectly capable of carrying out his activities with minimum guidance.

Knowledge and Experience:

Skills/Qualifications:

? QC Inspectors have a HNC/Degree level education in an engineering discipline or an equivalent field.

? QC Inspectors must have at least 5 years of experience in a QA/QC position related to a manufacturing industry working within a European/American joint venture company.

? A QC Inspector has a record of compliance with quality work standards.

? QC Inspectors also must have good communication and interpersonal skills. They have an ability to work well under pressure as well as keep up with several tasks at the same time.

? Min of CET 6 English written, Spoken and Technical English will be a bonus, with exposure to communication with European companies.
