Business Unit Networks (BNET), is developing leadership in next generation converging networks, by leveraging our leading position in mobile and fixed access, transport and core. One of the major Development Units (DU) within the business unit is DUIB (Development Unit IP and Broadband). Development Unit IP and Broadband is a worldwide organization with multiple development centers in three continents.
DUIB Solutions and Regional Enagagment (DUIB S&RE) is part of DUIB and is responsible for development and verification of End to end solutions such as MPBN, MBH, ENIW as well as cooperating with PDU’s for NIV (Network Integration and Verification) activities. DUIB S&RE is also supporting the regions via offering Customer Proof of Concepts, demos, trials as well as various regional engagement offerings with the objective to support the regions and PAIB in increasing the sales of DUIB/PAIB products. Global support (Tier II) on Solutions is also within the scope of DUIB S&RE.


Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced leader for DUIB Solutions and Regional Engagement Beijing.
The S&RE Beijing unit consists of approx 60 engineers, including 3 managers and 2-3 Project managers, S&RE has implemented an an Agile WoW and have multiple XFT’s interfacing towards global programs.
You will operationally be a part of the DUIB Solutions and Regional engagement Leadership Team and report to the Head of DUIB Solutions and Regional Engagement, this is a Global leadership team with organizations in United States, Europe and Asia. You will in this role also legally be part of DUIB China Management team.
Following are the key responsibilities for the Manager of S&RE Beijing:

· Overall responsible for the team with 3 direct reporting managers and around 60 employees
· Be an active part of DUIB S&RE global LT and work together with central operations, PPO and other site managers to ensure success within projects and engagements
· To recruit, develop and manage competence, performance and compensation of the Beijing team
· Resource planning, cost control and task allocation for Beijing site together with central S&RE PPO
· Secure talent planning and career path development for Beijing site
· Ensure proper coaching and knowledge transfer within the team
· Continuously improve process, tools and environment to ensure Solution and Customer Proof of Concept quality delivery with top class efficiency together with central PPO
· Foster strong relationships with all relevant internal and external customers and partners
· Support region activities via DUIB S&RE offerings, maintain and grow strong connections to local regional teams

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires an individual that is both good at leading as well as driving tasks towards multiple stakeholders. Communication and ability to work in an international team towards both R&D and the region is key

Qualifications

· Minimum of Bachelor Degree
· Minimum of 5 years managerial experience in R&D or region
· Previous management experience from positions on PDU or DU level/proven leadership skills is an advantage
· Previous experience from working within a regional organization is an advantage
· Thorough understanding of product development processes
· Strong presentation and communications skills, a pro-active and outgoing profile.
· Strong individual drive in combination with customer focus and interest in exploring new areas.
· A genuine technical interest and an ability to motivate and lead people.
· Knowledge of the Ericsson’s IP and broadband portfolio is an advantage.
