Development unit IP and Broadband, China, is a relatively young organization covering a unique blend of Ericsson’s IP&BB products and solutions, co-located with DURA, RNEA and GSC organizations in Beijing, and also inter-working with DUIB, DUCI, BUSS and GSC units in Shanghai.

As Head of Technology and Innovation for DUIB China, you will collaborate with our different technology groups to maximize utilization of DUIB China’s unique capabilities to support Ericsson technology leadership.

The successful candidate will possess technology leadership experience with a dedication to building high performance teams, also across organizational borders. He/She will foster a culture of collaboration, initiative, innovation, and tangible business results. The candidate must possess international communication skills, and must communicate and plan within the organization and with external stakeholders. The successful candidate will evaluate and strengthen the organization as required and continually enhance the organization’s capabilities.

Overview:
Lead the virtual organization responsible for prototyping, interaction with RNEA and DUIB for strategic technical planning, and championing innovation and other technology forward-looking activities throughout
DUIB China.
Participate in leadership activities and projects within the DUIB China organization. Be an active participant in the DUIB China Leadership team.
Collaborate with colleagues across DUIB and other Ericsson organizations to achieve successful prototype identification, planning, execution, and demonstration.
Forecasting and managing engineering requirements and cost center budgets. People management duties of technical staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience Requirements:
3+ years experience in leadership positions within engineering organizations.
Knowledge and successful track record in delivering HW and SW products as an R&D line manager, technical leader or project manager.
Ability to represent the China development organization to other Ericsson and external organizations, in a variety of forums.
Ability to organize, delegate, and effectively deliver results using distributed, virtual teams.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and interact within a complex multi-site organization. Excellent English skills required.
Positive and solution-oriented mindset with successful and proven track record of Innovation activities.
Experience in working with Region, service, and customer organizations is a plus.
Telecom experience required. A working understanding of the following areas is preferred, with a stretch / depth knowledge in one or a few of these:
IP networking, L2 – L4
Cloud related technologies and services
Network management
Access, transport and metro networking
BS in Engineering required. Master of Science or higher degree preferred.
