As a Sales Support Specialist for Process Automation Business Area in Beijing,
China, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales team and customers
during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the products
and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving
as a key technical resource in the assigned area.
Your responsibilities
Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from
customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB DCS
products/systems/applications for Mining business
Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal DCS
technical solution to meet mining customer needs and address complex inquiries
Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both
internal staff and mining customers on complex DCS product/systems issues
Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolves specific
customer problems
Supporting Sales to ensures achievement of targets on orders, Net Price
Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Supporting the Sales /Mining customers in determining the most technically
appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding
offers
Providing technical support to the Sales team during technical meetings,
product presentations, and negotiations with mining customers and offers DCS
product/ solution/service-related training
Ensuring technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and
trading conditions, are appropriate
Providing information for the risk review process in accordance with ABB
policy and participating in the risk review assessment as required
Analyzing mining customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general
market information and insights provided by the Sales
Analyzing lost proposals, identifying the potential cause, and recommends
future actions in cooperation with the Sales to achieve improved results
Your background
Must have Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of mining DCS solution/application sales engineering experience
Fluent in English
