You will be joining a team of Product, UX, Software Engineering and Data
Science to create the next-generation digital platform in railway industry. The
real-time big data platform on Railigent will play a critical role in everyday
railway maintenance work and thus meaningfully important for public safety and
people welfare. We are working closely with local Mobility technical experts to
reshape the future of maintenance to reduce cost, improve efficient and improve
quality and safety. Throughout the wide range of working scenarios, as a
lighthouse project firstly in China region, the team provide the talent a wide
variety of opportunities to get involved in and to be part of a global network
of experts and professionals.

What role will you play?

* Be the data engineer responsible of Railigent data solution platform with a
focus on the data ingestion, integration, serving, maintenance, and monitor.
* Build seamless and high-efficient data processing and storage platform of
both real-time stream and batch processing data, for both private-cloud and
on-premises, in both Siemens network as well as customer local network.
* Passionately define, document, communicate, and maintain the global
standards, in a common language, for data shared between the various local and
global applications used in our organization for providing solutions and
services to our customers.
* Establish and drive a community of practice to support the DevOps teams
(incl. architects) during the implementation and maintenance of these standards
within their applications.
* Collaborate with a global team who defines, implements, governs, and
optimizes process standards relevant for service execution.
* Co-create a seamless, agile-oriented implementation process from
requirements to production across all engineering teams.
* Independently responsible for completing small or medium-sized data
warehouse projects
We are looking for:

* Master’s degree in computer science or similar technical degree with over 3
years of profound experience in software development, data modeling and data
processing
* Deep know-how in data modelling, preferably in the manufacturing and/or
transportation domain
* Solid understanding of digital and service execution and delivery
* Comprehensive mindset in data modelling including its documentation and
communication (such as domain driven design, data mesh, data lake)
* Excellent communication in both oral and written, both Chinese and English
* Work experience in IoT projects is preferred
* Work experience in BI report development is preferred
