职位描述
Summary:
Primary responsibilities will be monitoring all supplier activity in China for engine and compressor components.
This position will conduct supplier audits, first article inspections, corrective actions, warranty investigation and assist as required in establishing acceptable machining processes for new and current suppliers. The successful candidate will develop and implement. Quality Control Inspection Plans (QCIP) that will ensure the supplier is meeting all engineering requirements. Will also assist with Cost of Quality monthly reports, disposition of daily non conformances, initiate six sigma projects as needed.
As the technical expert on quality issues, the individual will interface with suppliers
supporting these processes related to material, manufacturing and engineering
activities to support cost, quality and delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret Design Engineering data (including blueprints, Bills of Material, Specs) and any customer requirements. Define quality plans that may be required for manufacturing, sourcing or customer contracts.
Research and document quality improvements, cost-effective methods and process improvements.
Corrective/preventive actions on internal and customer related issues.
Develop procedures, work instructions and forms necessary to comply with the quality
system.
Lead internal /external audits, source inspections, etc as necessary in observance of the quality system requirements or in evaluation of suppliers and their products.
Investigate and implement special project assignments involving productivity and quality improvements relating to his/her specific areas.
Supports engineering and quality managers with customer interfaces as necessary on
quality related issues.
Facilitate cross-functional failure mode root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
Analyze reports and returned products and take corrective measures.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineering discipline is required.
5yrs minimum experience inspecting product using standard inspection
equipment such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, indicators, etc.
Experiences in the enterprises of fabrication of pressure containers, shipbuilding and classification society will be preferred.
Fluent in English and Mandarin is a language requirement.
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Proficient in MS office applications. Requires technical knowledge of the basics of manufacturing, engineering and quality assurance.
Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) in interpretation of blueprint requirements.
Working knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Internal and external Auditing experience. Work Experience on large bore Reciprocating Engine s and Compressors is desirable.
Experience with SAP R3 is desirable.
