- For our Corporate Technology (CT) in Beijing, Siemens is looking for a Research Scientist for Instrument Automation Solutions.

What are my responsibilities?
- Siemens Ltd., China, Corporate Technology (SLC CT) is one of the key organizations of Siemens global Research and development. One project team of SLC CT is carrying out technology innovation and development of process instrument for industry automation.
- Technology innovation and predevelopment for Process meters (flow meter, pressure meter, and level sensors, etc.) for Industry Automation applications
- Technology innovation and predevelopment of embedded system for automation control application
- Related patent study and/or products analysis
- Technical support for Siemens global manufacturers as well as local
manufacturers

What do I need to qualify for this job?
- A senior background in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or software engineering, etc).
- A proven track record of research & development in process instrument meter or controller, showing strong analytic and system engineering capabilities.
- Experience in safety critical embedded design. Experience in IEC61508 is an advantage.
- 5+ years actual experience in electronic circuit design (Analog Front End, Signal conditioning, filters, low power design, etc.) or
- 5+ years experiences in developing embedded system with a RTOS (e.g., VxWorks), based on ARM, DSP and/or FPGA, etc.
- Very good in structuring complex problems, with multi dimensional system requirements, breaking them down into simpler and “orthogonal” components.
- Be able to quickly absorb the necessary know-how in a new subject matter domain, including related standards and constraints.
- Fluent in English, orally as well as in writing
- Master+ degree, PhD is preferred.
- Good at the usage of CR5000 or Cadence or Embedded software SDK
- Familiar with configuration management and related tool, e.g. ClearCase.
- Be flexible for frequent business trip between Shanghai, Dalian and Beijing
- Experience in one multinational company would be an advantage
- In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
