- For our Infrastructure & Cities Sector in BEIJING,we are looking for a Technical Documentation Writer ( 技术文档编辑).

What are my responsibilities?

1. Creates, maintains and archives customer documentation material (e.g. installation instructions, user manuals, data sheets etc.) for HVAC R products in close collaboration with R&D and marketing functions and global tech doc team.

2. Coordinates and supervises the documentation content creation process between authors, localization, graphics, and publishing expertise, including futures and quality assurance etc.

3. Ensures correctness in both English and Chinese, technical standards, terminology, and SBT corporate design standards

4. Creates and maintains a proper terminology in collaboration with PM and localization, graphics, and publishing expertise, including planning- and quality- assurance

5. Creates and maintains the relevant product documents in the databases (ie. STEP), or ensures others do.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

1. Good, at similar level of CET-8 in Written and Spoken English

2. Must have perfect understanding of Technical Chinese (Mandarin) in both written and spoken form.. Good sense of language expression, clear concise expression style

3. Careful and particular, and very good attention to details and correctness.

4. Preferably engineering experience or technical training in HVAC, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or good ability to understand technologies

5. "Required expertise in text tools like MS Word

Preferred understanding of graphic tools (ie. Designer, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) and basic knowledge of HTML, XML.

6. Must have at least bachelor level, engineering background preferred but not required.
