Job Description:

Volvo IT’s Produce & Distribute Products (PRD) Solution Unit provides integrated business and IT solutions to the manufacturing communities in Volvo AB Business Areas.

We are looking for a Business Consultant for our business partner Volvo Global Trucks Operations and Volvo Construction Equipment located in China.

Functional Role & Responsibilities:

The Business Consultant will report to a Director of Solution Area in the PRD Solution Unit and will be responsible for:

§ Supporting the business partner to realize their strategies through solution identification to delivery ensuring business benefits are achieved,

§ Supporting the business partner with consulting services to manage and rationalize existing processes and systems portfolio,

§ Proactively driving new innovative solutions in the areas of Demand Planning & Ordering, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering and Production solutions from across the Group and externally based on best practices and new technology opportunities

Required Background and Experience:

Knowledge of existing business process covering the full supply chain scope, including suppliers.

§ A customer centric person who can understand business partner strategies and objectives.

§ Understanding the organizational manufacturing processes (across the value chain)

§ 15+years of experience in automotive manufacturing business processes and systems.

§ Ability to facilitate collaboration toward consensus and buy-in

§ Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills

§ Experience working globally in a multi-cultural environment (highly desirable)

§ Project management including the ability to facilitate human change management

§ Natural innovator

§ A person with a can do attitude that has a proven ability to get results

§ Likes working in an open, honest and transparent environment

Minimum Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
• MBA preferred.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

• 10 years professional and “hands on” experience in Demand Planning & Ordering, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering or Production.
• Previous trucking, automotive, or related transportation industry experience is strongly preferred as experience in a global business.
• Experience working globally in a multi-cultural environment (highly desirable)
• Project management including the ability to facilitate human change management
