职位描述

Key Responsibilities

· You will be part of the Global Storage 2nd Storage team, which is a virtual team that operates from multiple locations.

· The team manages storage operations. Tickets(Incidents, Events, Problems, Change)

· Handling MIP: During a Major incident act a s Single Point of Contact(SPOC) between the Global team and local customers.

o Give regular update to local VIT Site Management on status of the MIP

o Give regular update to Global Storage team.

o Act as Hands and feet

· Weekend and evening work is part of the job but the normal working hours are between 08:00-17:00

· Participate in Global Production meetings.

· Take proactive measures to avoid incidents and problems.

· Incident Management

o Restore normal Service Operation as quickly as possible

o Minimize the adverse impact on business operations

o Ensure service quality and availability are maintained

§ Handle all the tickets with a medium and a low impact

o Evaluate an Incident to determine whether it is likely to reoccur and/or if it is the symptom of a chronic problem. If so, inform Problem management about the incident

o Also evaluate for the right category and priority to be assigned to the ticket to be escalated either to the next functional level or to another function

· Request Fulfilment

o Responsible for managing the lifecycle of all service requests from the users

§ My place issues§ w.r.t. add, move, modify, delete to be taken care

§ Restoration of§ data as requested by the user

o Standard Storage orders to be delivered as per the agreed levels

o Migration activities of Myplace/Application and Backup Storage

· Event Management

o Determine the appropriate control action for events and ensure these are communicated to the appropriate levels/functions, if required

o Provide the means to compare actual operating performance and behaviour against design standards and SLAs

§ Alerts generated for Volume full of every filer, needs to be checked for the recurrence of the alert and to be escalated to the next level for an appropriate action to be taken care

§ Alerts generated for Backup Monitoring for failed backups, also needs to be checked for the recurrence and escalated to the next level

§ All the kind of alerts to be handled to check for any recurrence and creation of a Problem Record and escalation through the Event and Problem is mandatory

· Change Management

o Ensure to create and implement the changes, those with low risk, low impact and non-critical

§ Migration activities of Myplace/Application and Backup Storage

o Inform to the Blue to intimidate the CAB forum for any particular time to be scheduled for a normal change

· Knowledge Management

o Handling most of the tickets of the Storage function, involved in documentation work is dominant

§ Any issue that is new/complex/a potential problem should be documented for an article to be created

o Creation and deletion of the KB articles

· Restoration through DFM will be handled

Main competence requirements

· At least 5 years of working experience in Netapp Storage line of products.

· Should have Troubleshooting capabilities incase of incidents and problems.

· Should have experience as support personal for above said period of time.

· Good communication skills

o Should able to read, write and speak good English.

o Should not hesitate to express his/her concerns.

· Storage Protocols : Cifs, NFS and FC

· Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures

· Strong knowledge of clustering and replication

· Ability and willingness to work effectively in a business-critical production, in a global, multi-cultural organization

· Strong customer focus

· Good communication and documentation skills

· Well organized, with an eye for detail

· Able to collaborate in teams as well as being an independent driving force

· Good written and spoken English are a requirement
