Responsibility

  

• Responsible for general ledger entries and reconciliations for month-end closing including balance sheet and income statement results.

• Analyzes financial statements monthly, researches and explains variances.

• Assists with preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes, and supplemental schedules.

• Demonstrates an ability to execute and follow-through on tasks to completion; documentation.

• Ensures all deadlines are met.

• Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.

• Monitors the maintenance of accounting control procedures.

• Researches and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities.

• Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of transactions.

• Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and integrity of financial data.

• Coordinates or performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

                      

Qualifications

  

• Degree in Accounting or Finance (concentration in Accounting) required.

• 3-5 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a corporate accounting environment and/or public accounting.

• Strong general ledger accounting knowledge.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Advanced Excel knowledge preferred.

• Experience with Oracle Financials a plus.

• Desire to learn, grow, and contribute.

• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment under pressure.

• High energy self-starter with the ability to take initiative.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
