PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Direct experience, troubleshooting, knowledge and understanding of advanced morphological characterization technologies ranging from nanoscale to macro-scale level, e.g. Focus Ion Beam Scanning Electron Microscope (FIB-SEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), including relevant sample preparation, such as cleaving, sputter coating, etc. Experience on X-ray technology is a plus.
2. Expert in handling and maintaining relevant equipment. Excellent in analytical problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems.
3. Prepare/update technical documentation including SOPs, GLPs and calibration records.
4. Develop and maintain safety procedure in compliance with applicable regulations and promote safety-first culture in laboratory.
5. Accept task assigned, work independently, provide solutions, and interact with colleagues in relevant technology and business fields.
6. Adopt/utilize digital means/programs to capture, store and analyze information and maintain security and confidentiality.
7. Conduct continuous improvement projects for enhancing safety, quality, and productivity.
8. Enable cross sharing of learning, insight and experience of materials processing and application between team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Advanced technical education in relevant fields, e.g. Material Science, Instrumental Analysis, Analytical Chemistry etc.
2. Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of relevant experience with master’s degree. Experience on semiconductor materials is a plus
3. Experience with broad range of analytical techniques is preferred.
4. Hand-on experience, and extensive knowledge of advanced morphological techniques, and capable to understand and interpret data.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Familiarity with lean and 5S activities is a plus
7. Experience with statistics/data analysis is a plus
8. Excellent self-management competence, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
9. Team player, self-driven, willing to learn, and can-do attitude
