Responsibilities
1. Concept development, prototype implementation and experimental evaluation of innovative product features for Siemens Industrial Communication products
2. Cooperation with business units
3. Contribution to technology selection
4. Contribution to invention reports for patent generation
5. Acquiring and applying new technology knowledge
Qualification
1. PhD degree or equivalent work experience in network technology or related fields
2. Expertise in TSN (Time-Sensitive Networks), Detnet, and/or related technologies
3. Solid knowledge of Software-Defined Networks, Network Control and/or related technologies
4. Solid software development skills (e.g. C, C++, Rust)
5. Basic understanding of wireless network technologies (WLAN)
6. Good communication skills in English
Preferable (Bonus Points)
1. Basic understanding of industrial automation systems is an advantage
2. Good understanding of network security
3. Experience with real-time operating systems (Linux)
