This position has been generated in order to support the TECAN organization China
Support sales of Genomics product in south China, focus on some key markets.
Development of direct sales channels 80% - involves customer facing meetings, developing sales pipeline and
mapping of ongoing market opportunities.
- Technical support, interaction and coordination with Application & Product Specialists 10%
- Administrative duties (primarily maintenance of CRM and forecasting) 10%
- Involved ongoing travel across the China with occasional (10%) travel for product training and team meetings.
- Familiarity with competitive pricing strategies across the Territory to ensure the solution’s competitive position
- Development and execution of local marketing activities to develop Genomics as a trusted partner in the Territory
- Direct sales promotion and ‘closing’
- Interaction with end-users to constantly assess progress and future direction
- Draws on a wide degree of creativity and latitude in defining competitive solutions
- Manage existing accounts to ensure ongoing brand loyalty and revenue
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive
conclusion
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within Genomics’s CRM
- Represents the company and its partners in the best light
- Understand Genomics’s goal and purpose and continue to enhance Genomics’s performance and that of its partnersRequirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life science discipline Master’s or Doctorate
sales experience in molecular technologies (next-generation sequencing) advantageous or significant field expertise English / Chinese-desirable
Strong product and application knowledge (relevant life sciences) including that of the competition
Engagement as a positive and high-performance member
Aptitude for thinking outside the box to present effective customer solutions
Demonstrated ethics and integrity
Continuous improvement principles
