We are currently recruiting an experienced (Senior) Consultant / Project Manager to serve our expanding Japanese market. The person will be working as a key member of our Asia Pacific business unit. The work location/country is not limited as the person will work remotely.
Main responsibilities:
1. Project Delivery:
? Project planning and coordination between team members, project lead and possibly clients
？ When a project is assigned, prepare a kick-off presentation for an internal briefing and kick-off meeting with the client’s team
？ Create project work plans to include task breakdown, allocation of tasks to individual staff members and update manday allocation documents
？ Develop project data sheets or forecast models under the project lead’s guidance to provide detailed guidance to the project team
？ Work with the project lead to develop report templates and provide guidance to the team
? Project execution and supervision
？ Lead secondary research and prepare interview guides for primary interviews
？ Carry out in-depth interviews (by phone and in-person) yourself in Japanese or English to collect information required for projects
？ Guide members of the project team by advising effective research methodology and supervise the output of support staff to achieve satisfactory results
？ Conduct weekly progress reviews to ensure projects are on track and manage progress versus mandays allocated and used
? Report writing and presentation
？ Prepare allocated sections of reports to clients
？ Ensure reports to clients are accurate, logical, insightful, well formatted, and delivered on time
？ Able to present assigned sections of reports to clients independently and handle client follow up
2. People Management
? Provide direction and guidance to project team members including task prioritisation and time management
? Monitor performance and efficiency of project team members and bring any issues to the project lead’s attention in good time
? Cultivate a positive team spirit within the project team
3. Client Management
? Under the project lead’s guidance, maintain communication with clients to ensure their needs are handled promptly and the project runs smoothly
? Manage client expectations on project scope and response time diplomatically and professionally
4. Business Development support:
? Conduct secondary research to obtain a pre-study understanding of the target market for proposal preparation
? Support development of proposals and estimated mandays required for quotations
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:
1. Experience
? 5 to 10 years research and project management experience in the consulting industry, ideally in healthcare (preferably) or in industrial analysis
? Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently, frequently on tight timeframes and short turnaround times
? Familiarity with primary research methodologies and techniques, able to conduct in-depth interviews with industry experts or key stakeholders (including KOLs, physicians and management of pharmaceutical companies)
2. Skills:
? Native or near native Japanese speaker who speaks fluent English. Another language skill would be a plus
? Excellent business writing, presentation, and communication skills in Japanese and English. Other Asian languages are a strong plus
? Fully self-sufficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Familiarity with database researching statistical software and techniques is a plus
3. Attitude
? Self-motivated, proactive, and creative individual who can work independently with minimum supervision in a home-based working environment
? Solution-oriented attitude towards unfamiliar tasks and challenges
? Strong willingness to learn and grow in the healthcare industry
The position is intended for applicants who are already eligible to work in Singapore or the country they are already permitted to reside and work in.
We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience and opportunities for professional and personal growth. Ongoing on-the-job training will be provided. Initial job scope may be adjusted according to the successful candidate’s experience.
