Principal duties and responsibilities:
? The New Business Development Manager will report to the Head of Pharma Partnering, Companion Diagnostics (CDx). Promote CDx capabilities & services to pharma & industry
? Conduct primary market research to understand current & future needs/trends of partners & CDx industry
? Prepare pitch documents, case studies, and customer engagement tools
? Manage & execute CDx marketing campaigns & advertising at CDx partnering events & trades
Generate new CDx Business with pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations
? Identify & establish new customer leads and maintain a pipeline
? Develop and grow a diversified CDx partnership pipeline and accountable for converting new leads to bids ? Provide timely, credible and professional responses to inquiries and RFP's
? Develop proposals in partnership with project management and R&D
? Present and optimize proposals to meet pharma requirements
Drive new business development
? Represent potential partner's needs and interests to Agilent
? Manage CRM tool and support bid management process
? Field and screen incoming CDx inquiries & RFP's, out licensing of Agilent's CDx proprietary offerings and execute CDA's related to CDx FFS
? Build strong relationships with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Project Management at Agilent ? Collaborate with contracting to efficiently conclude agreements and with CDx Strategy to maintain alignment in Agilent strategy and market presence
? Maintain knowledge of Agilent offerings, CDx technologies & services
Identify opportunities to partner with clinical test laboratories for assay development services
? Can work remotely
? Bachelor's, Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) and/or a PhD/Master's degree in a Life Sciences discipline with equivalent experience in consultative/technical marketing and selling role for an IVD or Biopharma services organization
At least 4 years in 2 of the following:
? Working knowledge of the companion diagnostic, CRO and/or drug development business
? Working in a commercial role involving pharmaceutical products/services
? Preparing marketing materials, progressing leads in a products/services organization catering to biopharma clients Familiarity with lead management tools Strong presentation skills and professional presence Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
