Objective of job
? Overall responsible HPC adapter development in DGRC
? Interface between German charging socket team and component suppliers in China.
? Definition and alignment of specifications for HPC adapter.
? Coordination and tracking localization of charging socket as well as providing support for joint venture BBAC.
? Support the NEV socket/adapter homologation
? Developing and managing new local socket/adapter suppliers.
Task description
Concept Definition
? Drive the local series-development activities at RD China to develop a HPC adapter for the future Mercedes NEV vehicles.
Leading the creation of the HPC adapter/socket specification and align with potential suppliers.
? Define the project timeline for a potential development phase in each phase of the project.
Identify and evaluate internal and external partners for the development.
Supplier steering
? Steering relevant suppliers and engineering service providers for the development
? Create necessary documentation for project ordering
? Track and evaluate the work performed
? Risk management
? Lesson learn management
Internal Coordination
? Align the work scope and results at each relevant phase within RD China, BBAC RD and MBC/RD
? Work together with cross-functional departments like product planning, quality and logistics, set up project milestones as well as coordinate activities to pursue tight time schedules.
Reporting
? Prepare the necessary materials to report the findings of the concept phase at RD China internal reviews as well as Management reviews within MBC.
? Align and present the materials to all relevant parties
Qualification
Education:
University degree in mechanical, automotive or electronic engineering.
Experience:
Working experience in automobile development, experience in charging socket/ charging adapter.
Specific knowledge:
? Fluent written/spoken English, German beneficial
? Confident and experienced in project- and supplier-management
? High commitment for automobiles
? Communication skills with various hierarchy levels and different cultural background
? Willingness to travel inside China and foreign countries
