BeiGene is searching for an investigator in the field of Immunology or Immuno-Oncology to provide expertise in developing our immuno-oncology and inflammation & immunology pipelines. This individual will design and execute proof-of-concept studies in pre-clinical translation and biomarker aspects of tumor immunology or inflammatory disease, explore new working mechanisms to support biomarker identification, indication selection and publication. The candidate is also expected to propose and validate novel drug targets and lead early drug discovery programs. The candidate should be collaborative and inspirational with good interpersonal capabilities to work with cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge in immunology with sound scientific training in academia or drug discovery experience at industrial setting is preferred.
Responsibilities:
?Execute translational projects by designing and executing in vitro and in vivo experiments to perform in-depth characterization of mechanism(s) of action of therapeutic leads.
?Closely work with Clinical Biomarker team to establish and validate biomarkers to support clinical trials.
?Develop pre-clinical animal models to test the activity of therapeutic leads, both biologics and small molecules, in the single agent format and in combination with established therapeutic agents through collaboration with Early Discovery teams.
?Supervise master-level scientists for efficient hands-on work delivery according to project priorities and timelines.
?Explore, evaluate and establish biomarker technology platform.
?Propose and validate novel drug targets.
?Engage colleagues in cross-disciplinary scientific discussion, present scientific data to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:
?PhD in the field of immuno-oncology or immunology with 0-2 years of academic postdoc/pharmaceutical research experience.
?In-depth knowledge and solid scientific training with track record of high quality publication.
?Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with peers across multiple areas.
?Excellent analytical, organizational and trouble-shooting skills.
?Excellent communication skills both in English and Chinese.
