About the Company

Galeries Lafayette is a well-known and upmarket French department store chain. In China, Galeries Lafayette operates two department stores – one in Beijing and another in Shanghai, and is accelerating its development plan in China. The company is currently looking for a high-calibre candidate to join as the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager.

Job Description

Reporting to the CFO, the FP&A Manager leads a small team and works closely with senior management to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan.

Specifically, he/she will be responsible for the following job responsibilities.

？ Oversee the monthly financial reports and consolidation.

？ Lead the financial planning & analysis activities such as annual budget, periodic forecast, trend analysis, KPI analysis etc.

？ Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance.

？ Support management team and department heads with data-driven analysis.

？ Provide detailed analysis and commentary on store-level and cost center results.

？ Review operations and recommend new productivity or cost saving initiatives.

？ Liaise with the finance team at Headquarter on the reporting and financial analysis.

The Successful Applicant

？ Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in accounting, finance or related discipline is required.

？ Related work experience of at least 10 years, inclusive of managerial experience of at least 3 years.

？ Significant analytical skillset and strong quantitative abilities.

？ Good business partnership skill to closely work with other functional heads and senior management teams is essential.

？ Good communication and presentation skills with positive attitude.

？ Working experience in retail industry is highly preferred but not a must.

？ A hands-on, result-oriented and practical functional leader.

？ Able to cope with dynamic environment.

？ Good Command of both written and oral English is a must.
