We are looking for a Procurment Engineer (m f d) for BPS Systems in PSNL in Beijing. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire procurement process for product development projects. You will act as an interface to Product Development, Category and Quality Management and to the relevant supply chain functions. In this way, you ensure that all technical and logistical requirements are met and harmonized with an efficient purchasing strategy.

What you will accomplish together with us

• Selection of suitable suppliers in NPI projects for later series production, according to the requirements of PD SCM Quality
• Creation, coordination and implementation of make-or-buy decisions according to the industry and production footprint of the BPS division
• Execution of RFI, RFP, RFQ processes with the focus on optimal BOM costs with high material quality and availability taking into account the demand sites (TCO)
• Taking over the project management of all procurement related activities for NPI projects in the BPS division
• Preparation of project procurement plans and ensuring procurement requirements
• Coordination of contract management for the project area, including the Head of Procurement and maintenance of supplier relations together with Category Management
• Cost monitoring of projects (TCO) for the total manufacturing costs of the product
• Implementation of risk management for all procurement activities in NPI and LCM projects
• Support for PPAP processes

What will convince us

• Completed technical studies (BSc or MSc)
• Relevant, several years of professional experience in procurement, category management or supply chain management
• Reliable project management skills
• Experience in product development environment   NPI
• An affinity for numbers and very good negotiating skills
• Confident appearance and strong communication skills and a very good technical understanding
• Business fluent English and a global willingness to travel (approx. 25%)
