The E/E-Integration and Architecture department empowers the Volkswagen group's R&D network and its brands' products in China. The overall goals are the successful function integration of hard- & software developments in China, boosting of China-specific requirements in automotive E/E-architecture concepts and yielding of new enabler technologies for future mobility for China.

- Tasks:
Concept technical requirements of automated driving functions designed for the Chinese market and write the product requirement documents based on a previous derivation of function features
Define technical requirements for subsystem solutions, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing and future automotive systems/platforms
Align with relevant stakeholders on automated driving customer function features to be developed and derive implications of those functional features for the perception sensors and algorithms.
Monitor and steer the implementation of specified technical requirements
Develop test cases with the testing teams to verify functionality and implementation of technical requirements
Cascade targets and performance requirements to supplier/s and partner/s, and work to integrate them in vehicle systems
Engage with software and hardware engineers of the autonomous driving team and external partners / suppliers
- Qualifications:
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Personal skills:
Good knowledge of at least one: Vehicle perception sensor set (ultrasonic, radar, laser), software components, electronic modules (ECUs), vehicle actuators and control, defining vehicle communication architectures
Good knowledge of basic sensor technologies (Radar, Camera, Optics)
Knowledge of ISO26262 and SOTIF preferred
Knowledge of automotive design processes (PEP, Requirements Management process, etc.) and release stages preferred
Good knowledge of vehicle system architecture preferred
Structured working style, advanced time management and strong analytical skills
Strong abilities in independent, self-organized work, and cross-functional/-entity collaboration
Working experience (in years):
+3 years (Bachelor) / +2 (Master) years of relevant work experience at an automotive OEM, related Tier 1 supplier or equivalent, preferable in the field of automated driving systems
Proven experience in system requirements engineering for automated driving systems (e.g. EE architecture topologies, interfaces, failure analysis etc.)
Experience in supplier management/steering and technical negotiation is preferred
