The E/E-Integration and Architecture department empowers the Volkswagen group's R&D network and its brands' products in China. Job Purpose/ Role

• The development of simulation technology and real-time simulation models (ECU behavior models, physical behavior models) is your main responsibility

• You are also in charge of designing the concept and developing test modules, libraries and architectures

• You enable the full-stack engineers to develop, optimize and test their features – from hardware components (e.g. sensors) to planning algorithms and perception algorithms and you understand and document their requirements for simulation tools

• As a simulation engineer, you control and execute automated tests on networked integration SILs/HILs

• Coordinating the operation of the environment simulation for virtual validation at the individual XIL test benches and ensuring efficient test operation for series development and validation based on sustainable concept work is also within scope of your responsibilities

• You are also responsible for the adaptation and implementation of existing simulation models into the virtual environment and test engineering

Qualification and skills

Education:

• Master- or Diploma degree in in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in simulation, test engineering and/ or test automation

• Knowledge of automotive electronics as well as extensive knowledge of real-time simulation, test engineering and test automation

• Professional experience as a software developer and good knowledge in the field of C/C++ development and another modern programming language

• Sound knowledge and experience in software engineering, especially agile software development and software quality

• Deep knowledge in environment simulation of driver assistance systems (VTD, ADTF, etc.)

• Deep knowledge in real-time simulation with Matlab/Simulink

• Deep knowledge of vehicle bus systems (LIN, CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet)

• Experience in bus tracing and signal analysis with CANoe, CANanalyzer

• Experience in the application of tools for Project management e.g. Jira

Skills:

• Convincing communication / argumentation / persuasiveness / negotiation skills

• High degree of creativity, initiative and willingness to perform

• High ability to solve problems, conflicts, and to achieve strategy aims in complex environment with the team

Language:

• Good command of spoken and written English & German

• Chinese helpful
