The E/E-Integration and Architecture department empowers the Volkswagen group's R&D network and its brands' products in China. The overall goals are the successful function integration of hard- & software developments in China, boosting of China-specific requirements in automotive E/E-architecture concepts and yielding of new enabler technologies for future mobility for China.

Job Purpose/ Role

• You guide the configuration management (CM) and the release process of our innovative development project

• Planning, classification and active monitoring of configuration management in large, complex and highly available environments is also part of your duties

• You coordinate with internal and external departments and ensure the regular communication with the relevant parties to optimize and identify appropriate measures

• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the control and verification of the process to generate trends, improvements and measures

• Creation, extension and archiving of the project-specific CM structure and content, script development for automating the CM infrastructure and release creation are all in your area of responsibility

• You plan and generate software (SW) releases as well as associated release notes and change documentation

• You are also in charge of Compatibility and Error management

Qualification and skills

Education:

• Master- or Diploma degree in in electrical engineering, computer science, automotive engineering, mechatronics or equivalent (with a focus on software engineering, software technology)

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3 years work experience in the (automotive) electronic industry or similar

• Many years of experience in function and software development

• Expert knowledge in configuration / version / error management, methods, tools and technology

• Experience in the application of tools for Project management (e.g. JIRA)

• Several years of practical experience with agile working methods and Frameworks (e.g. SCRUM, SAFE, etc.)

Skills:

• Convincing communication / argumentation / persuasiveness / negotiation skills

• High degree of creativity, initiative and willingness to perform

• High ability to solve problems, conflicts, and to achieve strategy aims in complex environment with the team

Language:

• Good command of spoken and written English
