We are expanding our team for “Automated Driving/Intelligent Connected Vehicles” development in Beijing and start to establish an additional hub in Shanghai. In collaboration with a Chinese technology company we enhance the customer experience and offer tomorrows products to Chinese customers as soon as possible. Our technical teams work closely together with our experts at headquarters and other autonomous driving experts across the globe. Together with you, our experts, and technology partners we create the future of automated driving.

Main goals and objectives:

For the domain of ADAS / Automated Driving / ICV, C-EF31 tests and validates functions and technology for the Chinese market. It has to be assured that the technology field is competitive and complient with the Chinese law and standards & regulations.

C-EF31 tests and validates the technology for all different E/E architectures in MLBevo, MQB, PPE and MEB platforms used within whole Volkswagen Group in China. C-EF31 tests and releases these systems for the cars of the Volkswagen brands in China – related to both FBU and CKD. Therefore C-EF31 also is as strong interface and representative of German HC to JV FAW-VW and SVW.

Your Responsibilities include:

The position is responsible for the described scope and tasks within the ADAS/AD/ICV Development department of Volkswagen Group China.

• Ensure function quality and project quality incl. Functional Safety

1. Track development progress of functionalities

2. Ensure optimized test quality

3. Product delivery with good quality for each start of production by monitoring performance of team

4. Ensure milestones of ‘full function’, bug-0 and approvals

• Function/Customer K-Release Recommendation

1. Release report

2. Testreport

• Stakeholder communication

1. Receive escalation from Technical Expert or development engineer or test engineers, and decide on adequate actions with relevant parties

2. Responsible to deliver comprehensive status reports to division head, project coordinator and technical expert

3. 3. Communication with other functional team leaders, suppliers and Volkswagen Group for overall project strategy

• Leadership of directly reporting employees

1. Provide motivation, constructive criticism, promotion, coaching and guidance to employees

2. Delegate and balance workload and responsibilities, set up all necessary conditions by establishing processes and standards

3. Ensure efficiency in terms of a low status of staff sickness and a low level of fluctuation

4. Conduct frequent employee and management dialogues

5. Hire and promote team members as well as submitting ideas to increase productivity of existing team structure

6. Able to identify priority and critical issues during the project process, and able to give guidance to team members

Our Requirements:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent

• At least 5 years experience in respective field

• Good cooperation and assertion skills

• Power of endurance

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Good command of English, German would be a plus

• International company experience will be preferred
