As an R&D SPD ME Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical design and development of low voltage terminal distribution products, especially lightning protection products (SPD), for Electrification Business Area in Beijing, China.

Reporting to the R&D/Technology Manager, you will ensure principle and designing of mechanical products, drawings and related verification test planning.

- Developing or redesigning mechanical aspects of products (SPD, intelligent SPD, etc.) according to Global market demand or BU R&D demand
- Ensuring principle and designing of mechanical products, drawings and related verification test planning
- Understanding SPD related products and application standards, developing product technical requirements and conducting test planning
- Understanding the test characteristics of common lightning protection devices such as MOV, GDT and TVS, and cooperating with the test team to conduct research and development tests
- Writing the related technical documentations
- Providing Products & Production technical support
- Analyzing of customer complaints

- 3+ years of work experience in mechanical design of low voltage terminal distribution products, overvoltage protection design and application
- Sound knowledge in mechanical design software, CAD, Pro-E, capable of independent mechanical design
- A bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical, electrical, automation technology or related
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
- Highly responsible, self-motivated and autonomous at work
- A very strong learning ability and pragmatic spirit
