Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced senior software engineer to join our Linux Kernel team based in Beijing, PRC. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the larger team around the world to create various vertical OS and products for Intel.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work as an engineer in the Linux Kernel engineering team driving general kernel development, integration, debugging, and optimization on Intel platforms
- Work with cross-GEO teams to analyze and root cause kernel issues and to code review and integrate kernel patches
- Assist with platform bring up as a kernel representative

Qualifications:

You should possess a bachelor or Master degree on Computer Science or Electronic Engineering. The ideal candidate should possess 8+ years of engineering experience in software development with at least 4 of those 8 years focused on Android or Linux kernel development.
- Deep understanding and good experience in Android/Linux kernel driver development
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python and Java
- Well versed in LKML upstream practices and behaviors
- Excellent code reviewer with upstream experience
- Solid understanding of driver / device enumeration for ACPI and DT
- Solid understanding of kernel testing and strong problem solving skills
- Experience with GPIO, Energy Management, Power Management, USB, Startup, ***, Scheduler and others
- Experience with git required; quilt experience nice to have
- Quick learner, self-motivated to work independently
- Good communication, in both oral and written English
- Able to work under pressure with optimism and tenacity
- Excellent team work
