The E/E-Integration and Architecture department empowers the Volkswagen group's R&D network and its brands' products in China. The overall goals are the successful function integration of hard- & software developments in China, boosting of China-specific requirements in automotive E/E-architecture concepts and yielding of new enabler technologies for future mobility for China.

- Tasks:

• Define and create a new customized automotive related MCU/SOC Chip

• Write specification for the IC-Chip design

• Management of projects for the development of new chip platforms

• Testing of new chip concepts and designs

• Sustainable, systematic solution of complex problems regarding design and process

• In-depth analysis of the influencing parameters on component properties

• Evaluation of new semiconductors for all electronics developing business units

• Preparation of quotations and specifications for product development projects as well as for the production of prototypes, pilots and series products

• Assessment of semiconductor competence of suppliers

• Build network/partnerships to Chinese semiconductor industry (design, manufacturing, validation, new technologies…)

• Build an automotive competence network in China to support Chinese automotive suppliers

• Assessment of electronic and semiconductor competence of suppliers

- Qualifications:

• Degree in electrical engineering, Semiconductor Physics or a comparable study

• Relevant several years of professional experience in Chip Architecture/Design

• Profound knowledge in the field of semiconductors and semiconductor processing/technology as well as knowledge in the field of semiconductor analysis techniques are advantageous

• Experience with design software ideally for chip design

• Strong communication skills

• Excellent initiative, engagement and personal responsibility

• Target oriented and well structured

• Able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision

• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking, listening)

• German and Chinese language skills highly preferred
