JOB SUMMARY

• Ensure that products are tested to meet legal and industry requirements, and company’s safety and performance standards

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Testing coordination with 3rd party testing laboratories, vendors, mills and tanneries;
• Review and advice on Footwear testing reports from approved testing labs to ensure products are in compliance with company’s standards and regulatory requirements ;
• Monitor the service of the 3rd party lab service providers.
• Handle technical issue and ensure testing performance standards are maintained during development and bulk stages;
• Implement testing standards/requirements with vendors/mills/tanneries;
• Communicate with suppliers/mills on improving testing performance;
• Maintain all related documents, and constantly optimize working practices;
• Support seasonal risk assessment meeting to highlight the critical potential issues and manage adherence in setting testing instruction for Footwear product categories;
• Support factory in-house lab certification program.

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Textiles or Leather or Science or related discipline.
• At least 5 years solid experience in testing
• Experience in material and product assessments
• Knowledge of international quality standards and product safety
• Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all related parties
• Good communication, problem solving & analysis skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Willing to travel
