The System Service Engineer is expected to provide the highest Armstrong customer service and satisfaction with the support of appointed Armstrong service agents for customers on-site and in remote working locations in a hands-on field service environment. The individual is an active member of a developing and growing service organization that is part of the strategic initiative of Armstrong to grow our Business Services and Performance Management business.

  

 

  

The individual should have the ability to work alone or in a service team environment. The individual should provide regular feedback from the field and from customers for Armstrong to continuously improve our system products and processes including serviceability of our system product in the field.  This position reports to the After Sales Service team leader.  This position offers career development opportunities for the right individual.

    

 

  

This position will be based in the Shanghai office / Fengxian Plan.

  

 

  

In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:

  

• Attend to job site for control system commissioning, including installation instruction, commissioning, repairs as necessary

  

• Respond timely and professionally to field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits    

• Provide guidance, hands-on training on basic operation to Armstrong service agents, representatives, contractors and operation team of owner as required

    

• Communicate clearly with the customer to ensure customer satisfaction and execution of any necessary corrective actions
• Create and maintain service information in the company enterprise database
• Support the After Sales Service team leader

  

   

Role Requirements

  

• Electrical, Mechanical Engineering certificate/ 3 years technical college or above

• Minimum 5 years experience preferably in HVAC/Chiller/Mechanical industry

• Minimum 3 years experience in HVAC control, BMS companies

• Have a good understanding on HVAC system, chiller plant system control, BMS

• Have specific knowledge on chiller plant control logic and control function

• Able to operate, setting and commissioning of main brands of variable frequency drives in the market

• Able to work independently, complete maintenance, repair work at job site

• Trouble shooting ability at job site

• Ability to use a PC and MS- Excel, Word, Office software

• Strong language communication skills, both written and oral. Preference will be given to candidates with English speaking / writing skills

• Able to travel more than 50% of the time in China and maybe Asia Pacific areas
