Job Title: User Interface Artist / Graphic Designer

Job Summary:
Balanced Worlds is looking for a User Interface Artist to help design and implement their project’s graphical content. Our team collectively has more than 27 years of experience creating top selling games for the Playstation3, Playstation2, Playstation, Xbox, Linux, and PC. Our titles include Resistance: Fall of Man, Ratchet & Clank series, the Descent series, Twisted Metal PS3, Warhawk PS3, God of War 3 and more.

Duties:

• Work closely with the Art Director, Designers, and Programmers to design and produce the project’s HUD, GUI, Shell, and other graphical content.
• Conceptualize, prototype, and implement designs and iterate based on feedback.
• Provide 2D or 3D art assets with Photoshop, Illustrator, and various proprietary software.
• Assist in all other corporate brand, marketing, and web design duties.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 – 3 years of UI experience.
• Excellent Graphic Design skills with an understanding of web navigation and usability.
• Advanced user in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of design principals, layout and composition, color theory, and interactive design principles.
• Ability to create art assets, especially in-game icons.
• Ability to track and manage art resources to prevent redundant development.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take direction well.
• Basic oral and written English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A love for playing videogames and good instincts for game design.
• Experience developing art assets for a video games.
• A love for motion graphics.
• HTML, Visio, Flash, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, Adobe Creative Suite.

Portfolio Requirements:

• Present a variety of works relating to UI and graphic design field – logos, icons, web designs, typography, sketch layouts, menus, brochures and such.
• Provide samples of sketch layouts and compositions, and color swatch studies.

工作职责：
1.协同艺术总监，其他设计师，软件工程师一起设计游戏抬头显示HUD，用户界面，框架及其它有关平面内容
2.根据设计反馈意见实现概念化，雏形的设计实施与迭代设计

3.运用Photoshop，Illustrator以及其他设计软件设计二维、三维美术资产
4.辅助其他公司品牌，市场宣传以及网页设计

职位要求：
1.两到三年及以上界面设计经验
2.优秀的平面设计能力，了解网站导航及使用
3.精通Photoshop和Illustrator
4.熟知设计流程、空间布局及构图、色彩理论及互动式设计原则

5.创作美术资产，特别是游戏图标的能力

6.跟踪管理美术资源的能力，避免冗余
7.擅长人际交往
8.引领艺术方向的能力
9.基本的英语口语及书写能力

其他要求：
1.热爱游戏，有游戏设计天赋者优先
2.有游戏资产开发经验优先

3.热爱动态图像者优先

4.有HTML, Visio, Flash, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, Adobe Creative Suite知识者优先

作品要求：
1.提交各种界面及平面设计作品——logo标识，图标，网页设计，印刷排版，版面设计，菜单，宣传册等等

2.提交版面设计布局，色彩小样练习作品
