Position：Visual Effects Artist
Job Description：
Balanced Worlds, Beijing, is looking for a world class Visual Effects Artist for our upcoming title. Do you love action packed explosions, fireballs, laser beams, lightning strikes, Howitzers, nukes, total destruction, and fairy dust? If you answered yes to all of the above, minus the fairy dust, then we want you!
The VFX Artist will conceptualize and produce the in-game particle effects. The ideal candidate has a great sense of timing, understanding of process and production techniques, and the ability to create phenomenal visual effects. The Visual Effects Artist will work directly with the Art Director, Designers, and Sound Engineers to produce effects that fit our game’s thematic tone.
Responsibilities:
? Create particle effects VFX for Balanced Worlds’ latest game which involve explosions. Lots of it.
? Work closely with artists, designers and programmers to ensure that effects are in line with game concept and the overall game experience.
? Create original textures and build a library of VFX to be used for multiple Balanced Worlds games.
Requirements:
? Must have experience with various Particle Effects Tools, public or self proprietary.
? Must be able to demonstrate real-time particles and understanding of system performance and limitations.
? Able to create textures, sequential frames, and expert with Adobe Photoshop.
? Advanced understanding of art pipelines.
? Ability to effectively communicate with all departments.
? Solid understanding in animation and physical principles.
? Must have strong problem solving skills.
? Takes artistic direction well.
? Desire to create high quality effects.
? Team player and driven to create world class FX.
