BASIC FUNCTION

Test Lab Senior Project Engineer II will perform all necessary product testing activities and product compliance activities to support Faucets, Showers and Accessories Development projects. Responsible for management of the performance of test lab, ISO 17025 management system maintenance, lab inner and outer audits.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Responsible for implementing of the new product Qualification and Verification test.

2.    Make qualification and verification test plan, which reflects customer, regulatory and reliability requirements.

3.    Maintain ISO 17025 management system and the lab’s accreditations.

4.    Design testing fixtures as needed to make sure samples being well installed and tested.

5.    Equipment maintenance and management, calibration and troubleshooting.

6.    Monitor testing and analyze Failure Mode. Report the testing results and assure the quality of test results.

7.    Keep improving the procedures of lab management system. Keep monitoring and improving the working environment conditions

8.    Perform other related duties as required.

9.    Work to develop individual goals/objectives to support the department goals using the Maximizing Performance Appraisal Process.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Supervisory Relationships:

1.          Reports to the Supervisor – Product Lab and Model Shop.

Organizational Relationships:

1. Daily contact with NPD Engineering teams to ensure the designed characters of new products being measured and verified through performing related tests.

2. Contact with Project leaders to ensure the testing timing and communicate with different project leaders to coordinate lab resources to support projects.

3. Work with Model Shop to build test fixtures.

External Relationships:

1.  Some contact with Codes Agency or 3rd party testing body with reference to comprehensive understanding of the requirements of new Codes and Standards.

2   Some contact with outer Audit Agency to keep the lab pass all related outer Audits.

3.  Some contact with equipment’s suppliers for equipment repair and maintenance.

4.  As needed may have contact with end consumer and outside sales staff to assist with problem resolution/product improvement issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering or other related fields.

Strong understanding of codes, standard and regulations on Faucets, Showers, and Sanitary products.

5+ years of experience in lab management or Project Engineering.

Intermediate English (Speaking and Writing skills)
