Job Summary / Job Purpose:

The opportunity we are proposing is to join the Asia-Pacific Operations and IT department to lead the Global Transaction Banking transformation for the region from Technology perspective.

• The IT lead will manage the China GTB information system as well as the technology team
• The China GTB IT lead will report to Head of China GTB IT & Operations and to the Asia Pacific head of GTB IT.

This position will be based in Beijing

Main Responsibilities /Accountabilities / Tasks:

• Ensure GTB information system day to day production stability
• Transform China GTB technology team delivery model toward DevOps practices
• Lead GTB system enhancement to meet regulatory and internal requirement
• Contribute to the China Information system transformation 2021 – 2023 (IT stream delivery)
• Provides strategic technology orientation to stakeholder and Feature teams
• Ensure strategy alignment between Business vision and Technology
• Develop strong partnership with the business, global teams and offshored service center
• Coordinate with local, regional and global stakeholders to deliver China roadmap
• Implement IT policy and best practice guides for the team
• Ensure all IT activities are performed within the rules of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
• Assist in the evaluation of technology risks in order to secure disaster recovery plan and backup procedures

Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices 

Candidate Profile:

Academic  Background: Master or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT related majors

Working Experience:  10 years of working experience, with at least 3 years as a team leader

Skills & Competencies:

Leadership: Ability to see the global picture, Excellent inter-personal skills, strong communication capacity, Collaboration as part of your DNA, act as a servant leader

• Hands-on experience in developing/designing Micro services exposing business APIs written in Java 8 using Spring boot
• Proven experience in developing working code using software engineering best practices such as domain driven development, continuous integration and deployment, legacy refactoring
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Agile methodology and mindset
• Experience in executing large Information System transformation / Digitalization program
• Knowledge of the Cash Management and Payment Technology eco system (Temenos, CNAPS, SWIFT etc) is a plus

Knowledge of Banking regulation, standards, legislative and operational guidelines is a plus

Language Skills: Fluent in English, spoken and written

Computer Skill: Proficient user of office tools
