Position:     Corporate Banking Officer/Senior Officer

Report to:  Division Manager

 

Job Summary: 

To be responsible for assisting Division Manager to develop and support China Branches banking activities.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Branch Performance Matters

• To review financial performance of branches, make improvement plan, and recommend to Division Manager for consideration for obtaining the Bank’s approval and execution.

• To develop reports as required for management decision making such as Debt Classification report and LDR report.

1. Credit Matters

• To review and provide opinion on credit applications/memorandum submitted by branches, ensure the quality of documents and co-ordinate with branches on credit related issues.

• To assist Division Manager in processing credit approval through relevant approval authorities.

• To conduct relevant Industry Study for Division Manager to consider for the Bank’s use.

1. Marketing Activity Matters

• To work closely with branches in order to understand customers’ needs and help Division Manager in developing strategy to profitably service those needs; using Account Plan as a tool to continually refine strategy bases upon customer needs analysis and behavior.

• To pay regular visits at branches and make joint effort with branches in maintaining business relationship with the existing customer base and to expand/create new business and new clients.

• To solicit and maintain group customers relationship.

• To review and recommend appropriate deposit channels strategy for branches.

• To participate in monthly discussions on business deals such as deposit, loan and trade business, those are in the pipeline.

1. Other Matters

• To provide on the job credit training e.g. financial due diligence, financial projection and negotiation skills to branches.

• To perform other tasks as assigned by Division Manager.

    

  Job Specifications:

  Technical Knowledge

• Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or other related fields

• Understand credit structure, policies and procedures

• Good knowledge of products, customers’ applications/ uses, demand/ supply dynamics and other aspects of business industries

  Skills

• Strong credit and financial analysis and marketing skills

• Inter-personal and problem solving skills

• Keep alert on market movement and economic news World wide

• Proficiency in both Chinese and English in particular good written and verbal communication skills

• Office software skills

  Experiences

• Officer – Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
