Position Background:

This position reporting into the Manufacturing Sciences&Technology comprised of a team of engineers and scientists dedicated to supporting technologies in the biopharmaceutical industry in China. 

The group is responsible for proactively pursuing and performing process development and purification of pharmaceutical and biotechnology process. The group is involved in the selection, sizing, optimization and design of purification unit operations.

The MSAT group works with the following technologies: bioreactor, clarification, sterile filtration, tangential flow filtration, viral reduction filtration, as well as chromatography. The candidate will work closely with sales and system design teams and also with field marketing. The candidate will be recognized by our customers and within Millipore organization as a subject matter expert and a key technical resource, competent in all aspects of pharmaceutical and biotechnology processes.

Position Responsibilities:

l.      Support process development, application and implementation activities mainly for Downstream processes,like TFF and Chromatography in biopharmaceutical process, Manufacturing experiences with large scale system are preferred!

m.   Design and develop trial protocols and plan/schedule experiments; Carry out data analysis independently.

n.    Present results and reports to biopharmaceutical companies; Derive relevant conclusion and recommendations for future course of action.

o.    Coordinate project related activities and communicate project status and updates to all relevant parties on critical projects.

Requirements/Qualification:

l.      Education background should be Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology or Bioscience related disciplines.

m.   Strong background and practical experience in chromatography of proteins & biomolecular is required.

n.    Being familiar with chromatography principle and practical operation, such as Ion exchange ,HIC ,Affinity and size exclusion chromatography. Being able to operate AKTA system is preferred.

o.    Scaling up process ,Tech transfer and production for biopharmaceuticals experiences involved.

p.    Manufacturing systems like TFF and Chromatography are preferred!

q.    Being familiar with NDA or INDA process of biopharmeceuticals.

r.     Able to understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).

s.     Master must have more than 2 year or Bachelor must have more than 3 years’ practical experience in Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology related field. 

t.      Good presentation skills, computer skills and communication skills. Good command of English, both oral and written.

Willingness to travel.
