Responsibilities:

1. Lead the purification process development for novel pipeline products and monoclonal/bispecific antibodies for CMC development efforts and subsequent tech transfer of downstream processes to cGMP Manufacturing

2. Lead process optimization and validation of purification processes for existing clinical products for clinical and commercial manufacturing

3. Compile and analyze data to support/contribute to technical/development reports for technology transfer and regulatory submission

4. Support technology transfer to contract manufacturing organizations

5. Manage Purification Development resources and strategic planning to support early and late stage projects.

6. Drive innovation through deep understanding of new technologies and methods in downstream process development

7. Coordinate and collaborate with Discovery/Medicine and other CMC functions and develop strategies to meet project as well as corporate timelines

8. Contribute to the IMPD/IND/BLA/MAA filings

9. Manage a team of Purification Development, including development, education, coaching, training, yearly appraisals and follow-up, with continuous focus on improving work process.

10. Perform other relevant activities as required 

Requirements:

1. PhD in chemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular/cellular biology, or related field

2. At least 10+ year hands-on experiences in purification development in biotech

3. Extensive experience in purification process development for monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, Fc-fusions and other therapeutic proteins

4. Extensive knowledge and experience in IMPD/IND/BLA/MAA filings

5. Excellent communication skill, motivated, responsible and cooperative

6. Leadership experience with proven capability as a successful leader in a strategic multifunctional environment
